The idea for this artwork was inspired by my favorite M83 album: Dead Cities, Read Seas & Lost Ghosts. I love the atmosphere the album builds and wanted to translate that into a drawing that carries the same intense yet peaceful feeling. The ability to dream in a way that you fully remove yourself from your current environment is a powerful thing.

Two characters sit on a ledge on a summer evening, lost in thought. When I started this drawing I didn't have a clear direction but I was originally inspired by the idea that there are two worlds you can exist in, and no matter how much you win in your world, you will always appear as losing to the person living in the opposite world.

This started out as a quick sketch, and with some editing it turned into a piece I really liked. Had this song playing on repeat which helped direct the mood of the final artwork.

Artwork I made to build out the world of Tuffy Cat. Also wanted to make a drawing with a color pallete inspired by Wong Kar-wai films.

Inspired by the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, especially the character of Joel. Played around with the idea of showing two instances in time without any divider/separation between them.

I was obsessing over the idea of deserts and thought about the world this artwork exists in for weeks before even starting. There's a long story that goes with this scene but I'll let the viewer make up the story however they see it.

I was listening to the band Fishmans and felt like drawing some fish men.

My goal with this one was to build out a scene that felt confusing and magical. The idea behind it was to depict the human heart as being fragile and even scary, but not so much that you shouldn't hold it closely enough to protect it.
